is a client for Minecraft Classic, it features: smooth graphics; realistic shadows; a in-game server list; automatic updating via a launcher; support for both modern and classic terrain textures. It is still does not have all the features of the old client but is fully usable.

Charged-Miners Launcher has been updated several times this month. Launcher cannot update itself, so please re-download it at your leisure. Changes since version 1.2:
Thanks to GitHub.com breaking the download feature on their homepage that we used to host the game updates, you will need to redownload the launcher to receive any future game updates.
Not everything is bad news though: thanks to hard work by Scoot, the Launcher also has a few new features and improvements:
You will need to redownload the launcher from the link at the top of the page to get them. Again thanks to Scoot for working on the Launcher.
Again we need to thank Scoot for his continuing amizing work on the Launcher. Which just now moved to the Charged organization under github. A lot of work has been put into behind the scene changes to make the Charge game engine a lot better and nicer to work with.
But what about the fun stuff you say? Well player physics has been added, that seems to be quite close to how Minecraft Classic works, with the exception of water/lave physics not being there yet. Also the fog/background is no longer just a solid blue wall, its a completely nested scene so anything can be put in it, like mountains off in the distance.
Currently the help page is a bit lacking, some help would be greatly appreciated, both for Charged Miners and the Launcher. No fancy html knowlage is required as its all written in a the super simple markdown format, see here, you can just checkout the source for this page here.
Just run the launcher and it will update it automatically!
Scoot has done a bunch of work on the launcher, totally rewamping the UI, adding a single button upload of logs (greatly helping debbing issues), and much more… Many thanks Scoot.
You will need to download the launcher from the link at the top of the page.
Its been a while and a lot of changes gone into Charged Miners. The default skin now works, you can replace it just like with the background, see help for how to do that.
Also like to thank Scoot, for his work on the Launcher, especially now that mc.net seems to be having so much troubles.
Just run the launcher and it will update it automatically!
I moved the main repository for Charged Miners to be under the Charged orginazation instead of under my private github account. Due to this and the fact that Mojang broke the www subdomain of minecraft.net you will need to re-download the launcher again.
Sorry no auto-update, you will need to re-download the launcher. Get help here.
Did lots and lots of code clean up and preperation for possible porting to D2. Other then that fixed two bugs. And added a failsafe mode, active it by setting the option mc.failsafe to true in settings.ini, see help for where to locate it.
Just run the launcher and it will update it automatically! Get help here.
Fixed some fallout from the move to the new startup code. Made the game a lot more targeted at only classic by hiding the old main menu when launched from the launcher. Made it a tiny bit more closer to vanilla classic, and also added paste support to the chat.
Just run the launcher and it will update it automatically! Get help here.
The big change this weekend is closer to classic behaviour on various things, and that the menu background is custamizable. You can change it by placing background.png and background.tiled.png in the texture folder, see help for how it can be found.
Just run the launcher and it will update it automatically!
Trying to do one of these every weekend.
Just run the launcher and it will update it automatically!
So while this isn’t the first weekend update that I have made its the first that I document on the new page. Finishing the move to the new organization on github and more work on this page is what I think I’ll do the next weekend. But now on to the changes:
Just run the launcher and it should update automatically! Also Curiosity on Mars!
And thats all there is to that.
